Uniting Seattleites from all walks of life on one stage, CD Forum in partnership with Seattle Art Museum presents Uplifted: A Reading of Iconic Black Voices. The evening will feature the iconic and inspirational words of some of the most prominent Black thinkers in American history interspersed with soulful music. An array of enriching passages including lyrics, literature, poetry, speeches and journals will be performed by a diverse group of individuals who draw upon their experiences in personally selecting each work, bringing to life these words meant to provoke thought.
