Occurs every Saturday, Friday, Thursday, Wednesday, Sunday
Leah Adcock-Starr, a student in our Professional Director Training Program, will direct her first full-length feature production for the School of Drama. In Mary Zimmermanís hypnotic play, The Arabian Nights, the audience is dazzled with a lush swirl of vibrant carpets, luxurious fabrics and shadowy lanterns. A beautiful world full of movement and music emerges as Scheherazadeís stories unfold from the secret crevices and dark shadows on stage. The alluring trappings of a Persian palace help transport audiences to another time and place where the young Scheherazade must weave a new story every night to postpone the death sentence imposed by her husband, King Shahryar.
