Pinto Bean & Tortilla Making Class:
Sal is not only a master at his pinto beans especial (most recently inspired by the Seahawks Super Bowl victory), but he is also a poet. Sal's recipe includes a full bottle of chianti and good Mexican lager beer (duh!) both of which we will have for you to enjoy on the side. His class is best describe by him:
My frijolitos smiling up at me
With a flour tortilla, they are so delicious I can see my mother scolding me, and dishing
Out some frijoles de la olla, with a basket of wrapped Fresh flour tortillas
Our little Pinto beans working their way up from the Andes, riding the rails, north from El Salvador towards the beast in the north.
From the wealthy landowners, the migrant workers, or Che in the Bolivian jungles, all folding their tortillas
And frijoles in the same manner, with total love and Respect!
