Tom Tangney doesn't recommend this dark depiction of the classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for five year olds. However, he says it is better than its' more recent comedic counterpart Mirror Mirror. It takes a cue from The Hunger Games and hits on female empowerment. Tangney says visually it is amazing with the story line only just making the cut.
