8 Dollar Food Budgets, Hope Solo's Rocky Marriage, and David Petraeus
|
|
Date: Wed November 14, 2012 Show: Jason Rantz Show The latest in the Hope Solo case, plus Rantz tells a bizarre (but relevant) story about a scorpion and a toad. We get into the David Petraeus story - the guys feel awful for the General's wife, and Rantz is disgusted because he admired the general. A Vancouver couple is choosing to live on an $8-a-day food budget (for the both of them) to experience what people's lives are like on food stamps. Neither Terry nor Rantz can do it and both say stories like this make them want to contribute more to charities (though Rantz says he doesn't need to experience this to know that it would be awful living on food stamps). A TV news anchor insults Rachel Maddow on Facebook, then gets suspended. Why do people say stupid things on Facebook? Terry explains he once did something awful online and he regrets it. Rantz says if he's ever going to get suspended or fired for something he says online, it better not be some hackneyed, cliché joke like the one that got this news anchor in trouble.
