Conservative leaders say they will systematically replace Republicans who agree to a deal on the fiscal cliff. And a group of House Republicans say Speaker John A. Boehner could face trouble from the far right if he backs any deficit deal that raises taxes. Maybe a better idea is to make all the fiscal cliff negotiators women. // A former police officer who worked in Washington state has been sentenced to life in prison for kidnapping and murdering a young Illinois girl more than a half century ago. We talk with his son, Sean Tessier. // Is Gov. Chris Christie too fat to be President? Barbara Walters asked Christie that very question. Luckily, she did it in a really awkward way. // Company Christmas parties are back. During the recession, many companies cut holiday festivities. Sixty-eight percent of businesses held parties last year. This year, more than 83 percent of companies are planning holiday parties.
