Lance Armstrong confessed to Oprah Winfrey during an interview Monday that he used performance-enhancing drugs to win the Tour de France. This morning, Dave spoke with a former professional cyclist most have never heard of - Scott Mercier. That's because he refused to go on a coping program 15 years ago. // Some Democrats in the Washington state Senate were offended yesterday when the pastor giving the opening invocation called for strengthening marriage as you ordained it. // New York state lawmakers will pass new gun control laws later today, becoming the first state to do so since the Newtown shootings. Changes include expansion of the state's ban on assault weapons and new measures to keep guns away from the mentally ill. // A pair of identical twins in Belgium have died after seeking euthanasia when they discovered they were both going blind. The 45-year-old twins were born deaf and requested to die after being told they would never see each other again. The twins' case is unique, as neither was suffering extreme physical pain or was terminally ill.
