Date: Fri February 1, 2013 Show: Andrew Walsh Hosted by Jason Rantz // The waitress who posted a receipt that went viral got fired by the Applebee's where she worked. The receipt had a note scrawled on it contesting the included gratuity: "I give God 10%. Why do you get 18?" The pastor who left the note says she didn't mean for anyone to lose their job. // Can a parent do too much for their child? That's what a new article by Judith Locke, a clinical psychologist, asks. She joins the show live from Australia to discuss what parenting professionals have to say on the concept of overparenting. She says the perception that it’s only well-off parents is inaccurate and skewed by resources available. Overparenting involves good parenting skills, but taken to an unhealthy extreme. // A repeat sex offender is accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl at the Enumclaw library. Prosecutors are seeking a 25-year minimum sentence. He was previously considered a level one sex offender. Stories like this may be why people feel they're doing the right thing when overparenting.
