Yesterday, the Seattle City Council was considering what new rules and regulations to put on the police's use of drones. Today, Mayor McGinn terminated the drone program. Andrew wonders why the mayor was more knee-jerk in his reaction than he usually is. // The Mariners signed pitcher Felix Hernandez to a mega-deal that would average $25 million a year through 2019. Are the Mariners putting too much money on one guy or demonstrating that they are willing to pay the right kind of player? // Andrew endorses this use of guns: A man saved a woman being attacked with a knife by scaring away her assailant with a warning shot fired into the air. // Brian Heater is Senior Associate Editor for the tech site Engadget and Benjamin Harrison produces the site's video series.
