Tom Wassell and Matt Pitman talk about the NFL rule changes, specifically the crown of the helmet hits from an offensive player. Matt thinks this is like the NFL introducing New Coke. It won't ruin the game, but it will take something away from it, with players trying to alter the way they naturally play. Tom doesn't think this is a big deal at all. Callers give their take on the rule changes and are kind of split on it. Some think it won't effect play too much because most collisions are in the tackle box, which is still legal. Others think this will slow down the games too much. More calls on the rule change as Matt and Tom argue about the way a ball carrier holds the ball will naturally lead a player lower his head. Plus, an OFA member calls in and says the helmets today makes players feel indestructible.
