Wow, callers love talking about backup QBs! So we keep things going and take more calls on the subject. Lots of people say it's a no-brainer to keep Chancellor over Flynn (who may not even take a snap). We don't even really know if Matt Flynn is an asset since he didn't really play last year. Also the question came up, which Seahawks team was actually better, last year's team or the 2005 Superbowl team?
Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson may be an enemy of this town, but Tom still has a lot of respect for him. But is he doing more to keep the team in town than he is doing his other mayoral duties? Also, why is David Stern so against expansion when the Seattle ownership group would easily pay for it and Sacramento could keep their team? Everyone wins and billions more dollars go to the league.
As demonstrated by Indiana tonight, even if you have the greatest of teams in place, it doesn't guarantee you a championship. Tom says he's looking at you Seahawks! The question is, is losing the championship more crushing than the fun of the run to the championship? Colin and Matt say it's still better to get there and lost than to suffer through a horrible losing season.
