It looks like Matt Flynn is on his way to Oakland. Colin, Tom and Matt ponder whether this is a big deal now that the team has to look for a new backup. They go over who's available and think Seneca Wallace might be a good choice. Colin likes the idea of Colt McCoy if he is let go. Matt thinks drafting a rookie QB might be the way to go because he can be groomed to fit your system. Joe Fortenbaugh of National Football Post says the Seahawks shouldn't expect more than a 5th round pick for Matt Flynn as he isn't as valuable as Alex Smith is. He thinks a backup QB should come cheap as the free agent market hasn't paid out much. They could draft a backup, but he thinks that would be a mistake because the Seahawks are so close to a Superbowl. The guys react to what Fortenbaugh said and think that a free agent might be the way to go for a backup. Tom isn't too worried about a backup QB because it's more of an insurance policy than a pressing need.
