The fight over the Kings continues: The Maloofs have given the Sacramento group a deadline of 5:00 p.m. Friday to submit a written, binding back-up offer that matches Hansen deal. And it appears now that David Stern, widely thought to be a strong supporter of moving the Sacramento Kings to Seattle, has been working to bolster efforts to keep the Kings where they are. // Lawmakers defeated a filibuster today, clearing the way for the first gun control debate in the Senate in decades. // Interim police chief Jim Pugel says he questions the DOJ's findings that the department engaged in a pattern of excessive force.
