A pilot car driver says this was a preventable accident. // The Seattle Police Department has admitted it violated the state Public Records Act by withholding an internal memo from The Seattle Times. SPD has agreed to pay the Times $20,000. // John McCain made a surprise visit to Syria to meet with rebel leaders. // Critics of DUI interlock devices say companies that make the devices have too much say in how DUI laws are written. We talk to Steve Luce, state director of Smart Start, a company that offers ignition interlock devices.
