A standoff continues this morning in Bellevue. Police fired tear gas into the apartment, and Bellevue Way has been shut down. The incident reportedly started after a late night chess match. Chris Sullivan joins us from the scene. // A judge has awarded $35 million to 29 clients of a former dentist who performed thousands of unnecessary root canals for nearly 30 years. // A military judge has declined to dismiss a key charge against Bradley Manning - whether he was aiding the enemy. The decision could have significant implications for future releases of secret government material. The Taliban sent an open letter to Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani teen who was last year the target of an assassination attempt, to stop her smear campaign against them. // House of Representatives Republicans recently passed a version of the long-delayed farm bill that doesn't include the food-stamp program. About one in every six Washingtonians collects food stamps.
