The Mariners are on a roll even though they lost today. Tom and Matt argue last night's game was a huge sign they've turned the corner as Erasmo Ramirez made just his second start of the season and didn't unravel despite falling behind early. Matt argues the team has turned the corner because the team is playing focused, heads up baseball and capitalizing on other team's mistakes.
Mariners play by play announcer Aaron Goldsmith talks Mariners and how big it has been for Nick Franklin, Brad Miller and Mike Zunino to come up together and how that may be leading to the chemistry this team has at the moment. He also talks about the possible effects on the team if they trade a veteran player like Raul Ibanez or Kendrys Morales.
Former baseball GM Jim Bowden believes the Mariners should deal any veterans who won't be part of the Mariners future should be traded because the Mariners don't have a reasonable chance of competing this year and won't be part of the team when you are in position to compete again. Matt argues doing so can really crush team morale.
