Ariel Castro has accepted a plea deal today that sends him to prison for life plus not less than 1,000 years with no chance of parole. // Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes wants to enforce the state's prohibition on public pot consumption. Holmes says if the city enacts an ordinance mirroring the state's, Seattle will be able to glean some of the fine revenue. Holmes joins us. // In closing arguments in the Bradley Manning trial, prosecutors argued Manning wasn't a naive soldier out to better the world. Rather, he was an anarchist seeking to make a splash. Eric Holder has promised his counterpart in Russia that Edward Snowden will not face the death penalty if he is returned to the U.S. // A nightmare roofing contractor is facing felony theft charges after allegedly scamming a Renton hotel out of $20,000. King County prosecutors say Collin Pat Chester tore off part of the roof he'd been paid to replace and then demanded thousands of dollars more from the hotel owner.
