The suspect shot to death by police during yesterday's bus shooting downtown was featured in a story Brandi Kruse did several months ago when the man was shot in the face in Pioneer Square. // California yesterday became the first state to enshrine certain rights for transgender kindergarten through 12th grade students in state law. Public schools in the state will now be required to allow transgender students access to whichever restroom and locker room they want. // Following the death of an 18-year-old WSU student last year, the university has been looking at ways to curb underage drinking. Starting this fall, WSU will schedule more classes on Friday as well as call the parents of drunk students. The university is also considering a proposal to phase out fraternities. // Your turn.
