Expect crazy weather today

Seattle Public Utilities has their own meteorologist who tries to forecast rain showers on a street-by-street basis so they know where to scramble their crews to in order to prevent flooding. KIRO Radio On Assignment: A Bothell man says low prices at a local store came with something he didn't expect: bed bugs. Brandi Kruse is on assignment. Reporter Natalie Swaybe from KING 5 took a look at the background checks given to vendors at the Washington State Fair which opens tomorrow. President Obama's plan for a military strike against Syria as punishment for the use of chemical weapons now goes to the full Senate for debate. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved it in a 10 to 7 vote yesterday. The measure rules out U.S. combat operations on the ground. Boeing is spending millions of dollars to design the next spacecraft to shuttle astronauts to the International Space Station.
