Aviation Nerds: See Amelia Earhart's Plane (Ok, a Replica) at the Museum of Flight

Originally aired: Monday, October 21, 2013

Seattle's Museum of Flight has recently purchased an exact replica of the plane Amelia Earhart flew when she attempted to fly around the world. The Lockheed Model 10-E Electra was built in 1935 and refurbished to look like Earhart's in the 90's by a woman who flew Amelia's route on the 60th anniversary of her attempt.
