People tend to get upset about the legislature giving themselves a raise, but Jason is for this one. State senators aren't that highly paid and we need to attract good candidates. // An LA Times article on an earthquake was written by a robot, as an increasing number of articles, especially in sports, are these days. Is that actually a good thing? Jason says robots could be the answer to reporting bias. In other digital journalism news, The Oregonian is pushing writers to post 40% more stories on their website, OregonLive.com, and will judge their performance by web metrics. // Should I Be Offended? Activists got an ABC Family show called Alice in Arabia canceled before it even made it to the air because it was deemed offensive to Muslims.
