A referendum on min wage in Seattle and Brandi Kruse on the 'next Elliot Rodger'
Originally aired: Monday, June 16, 2014
Kathrina Tugadi and Angela Cough of Forward Seattle join Rantz in studio to discuss the referendum that they're gathering signatures for. It would put the Mayor and City Council's minimum wage bill that just passed on the ballot for voters to weigh in on. They say it's really an $18 min wage bill. // More with Tugadi and Cough. What if the public decides to OK the higher min wage? // Brandi Kruse joins Rantz in studio to discuss the online commenter who was arrested for threatening to be the 'next Elliot Rodger'. He's a UW student. Was he a harmless troll or did law enforcement just prevent a shooting? // Starbucks announced that it will offer to pay tuition for employees for their last two years of an undergraduate degree at Arizona State University's online program. Rantz says this is a great move, but some extremists just don't think it goes far enough to even the playing field.
