Poulsbo bans marijuana biz and Delta apologizes for a tweet of a giraffe

The Poulsbo City Council unanimously decided to ban marijuana businesses from the town limits, despite the majority of voters there supporting I-502. Rantz wonders how the council could go against the will of the people. // Washington State was ranked as the most soccer-enthused state in the union by the blog Estately. Rantz is a full-on soccer fan now thanks to the Seattle Sounders FC and can't stand people who don't get soccer. // Should I Be Offended? Delta Airlines clumsily tried to join in the celebration of the USMNT's win over Ghana with a tweet that represented the African team with a giraffe. There are no giraffes in Ghana. People are calling the tweet racist, but is it? Elsewhere, Katy Perry is again offending people--this time with her dancers' hypersexualized costumes. // Unemployment is down, but so is job security. Temp-to-hire positions are on a steep rise as employers are less willing to commit money to employees without being absolutely sure about them.
