Candidate Statement:
Re-Elect Dave Somers, County Council
"Four years ago, I campaigned to protect local businesses,
neighborhoods and farms, get our fair share of transportation investments, and improve public safety.
I've worked to find common ground and get results. Republicans and Democrats, unions and business, farmers and
environmentalists all support my campaign because I work hard to always put people ahead of politics."
Economic Development
Endorsed by business owners, local farmers, and the Master
Builders, Dave has made the economy a true priority, working to protect local jobs and diversify our economy. He helped cut red tape and streamline the permitting process to create more local jobs and help you.
Road Improvements
Dave got $1.5m for Highway 2 safety improvements- centerline and fog line rumble strips, road striping and warning signs. Working regionally, Dave secured resources for Highway 9, 522 and County roadway improvements to reduce congestion and improve safety.
Public Safety
Endorsed by Prosecutor Janice Ellis, Sheriff John Lovick and more, Dave knows we can't compromise on public safety. He consolidated jail service to save money and improve efficiency.
Dave has resisted cuts to the Sheriff's office, keeping deputies on the streets.

Candidate Statement:
Steve Dana is running for County Council to bring Common Sense to County Government. Average taxpayers deserve a Leader representing their interests not special interests.
Steve Dana's plan for Snohomish County has five points. 1.
Budget Discipline & Accountability: Every dollar spent comes from your taxes; 2. Re-Evaluate the Role and Size of County
Government: Lean budgets force us to do more with less
resources; 3. Support Business: Private Sector businesses
produce jobs and tax revenue to pay for services; 4. Balance Environmental Policy with Cost to Taxpayer: Taxpayers want to protect the environment but policies cannot break them financially; 5. Adopt Land Use Policies that work: Property rights must be respected. Livability must be a priority.
Steve Dana has extensive Leadership Experience serving the
community. He and his wife Noreen have owned The Hub in
