Teen kills 9 year old

Alyssa Bustamante, 15, is accused to killing 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten. Reports say Alyssa dug a grave and then spent the next week planning the murder.

She Was Probably Suffering PMS. We MUST excuse her
I have heard that logic from women. Look at it this way, children will die because money that should have been used to help them will be used to try this little snot. Then take care of her for however long the courts keep her in custody.

Murder should equal the death penalty...
if you kill someone in cold blood. This 15 year old plotted this child's death. I'm sorry, but if I was on this jury, that's what I would vote for.

Sad that this child will be "counseled"
How can you EVER "council" the memory of this out of her? I don't care what she goes on to do this will weigh upon her like an anchor. How can she ever make it "right" to the parents of her victim? She's going to be a drain on society for the rest of her life. Life in prison? Not in Seattle, but maybe in Missouri.

    What comes around goes around
She has no excuse and I have little compassion for anyone who ends a life like that. Could things in her life contribute to this? Most likely, but how our lives turn out, is what we make them... This girl will not be rehabilitated with any amount of time...

    Sometimes Life isn't fair....
I am not sure who thinks this little brat can be "saved" from what I am reading she has had many issues that should have been addressed long before now. She not only committed a haneous adult crime, but it was extremely well planned, put her butt in jail for life, it will be more of a life then the 9 year old had a chance to live.

    Hang the Parents
The young girl is apparently a socio-path who may or may not be salvageable. She is likely a danger to the public and it may be she never gets better. Based on this she deserves to be locked up until such time as she is no longer a danger to society. Most sociopaths don't get to be that way of their own accord. Abuse, neglect, abandonment, violence, etc, are the real causes and it is a cycle that probably afflicted her parents. As she is locked up to protect society, the parents should be held culpable as well and they too should have some criminal consequence. Lock up the girl but hang the parents.

    What It Feels Like...
to spend the rest of your life in prison. But she'll probably be deemed insane and get to go to the state fair on a field trip.
