tbtl: big money rustlas

Happy Halloween From TBTL!

jake pumpkin

Courtesy of listener Jake (I can only imagine the confusion/scorn from the other folks @ the pumpkin party).

I bought about $45 worth of candy today (and I mean the real stuff, Kit Kat, Snickers, Reese's etc. None of this candy corn business, or even worse, apples) hoping to entice kids to walk all the way up our epic front steps.

Thanks to all of you who tuned in to Wait Wait this week to hear me sully the good name of NPR with jokes about Breast Cancer Fun Runs & other such stuff.

Have a fun night... See you monday!

The only thing better?... Luke Burbank on Wait Wait playing on a radio at Dunder Mifflin in an episode of The Office. I think my head would explode.

    Wait, Wait, and Halloween Show
Giving both a big RAWR! I literally laughed out loud while eagle soaring, which, indeed, made me look crazy. Spent Halloween with some Tenvers. Life is good.

    Shoulda been a ten
Wait Wait was awesome and too bad the listener on 'Bluff' wasn't a 10. I'm sure we were all screaming at the radio, "The Gambler, The Gambler". Everyone be sure to e-mail npr and let them know how much we loved hearing Lukey on non-imaginary radio.

    tens in the wild
I had the most awesome TBTL-related Halloween, starting with Wait Wait and terrifying Reader's Digest flashbacks (I used to read them in the bathtub, bad idea, they're all about shark attacks) and ending with meeting a Ten in the Wild at an awesome party! It was the first Wild Tens meeting for both of us, so we snuck off to the guest room to leave a Deal With It, Cate Blanchett voice mail. I think we'll be friends forever. Rawr!

Second the love of candy corn...
...Sure, it may take a back seat to the Snickers and RPBCs, but it wouldn't be Halloween without it. I like the little pumpkins, too, and pretend I'm a giant when I eat them.
