Today On TBTL: John Hodgman.

More Puffy Vest Than You Probably Require Indoors

You know John Hodgman because he's the guy who plays the PC in those Mac ads and because he's a frequent contributor to The Daily Show, and This American Life and because he writes awesome books, most recently 'More Information Than You Require'. You probably also heard about the rousing speech he gave recently about how lucky we are to have a nerd president (with the very nerd president in question looking on and cracking up from a just a few feet away). Anyway, tune in today to hear all of those accomplishments rendered mere footnotes in Mr. Hodgman's Curriculum Vitae compared the spectacular TBTL interview that he's likely to turn in.

See you then,

    Nice
Hodgman is looking almost hipster in that photo (but with an adequate level of nerdishness.)

    Anyone else think...
...that those ads have the opposite of the intended effect, with Hodgman being the likable, sympathetic underdog to what's-his-name's pretentious, smarmy hipster (who also ruined Die Hard 4)? Seriously, who would you rather have at your house for dinner?

I think I said on the air once that I find John Hodgman sexy. This photo = support for that position. Is this a re-air of the previous, awesome interview, or something new?

    RE: @Silent Kal
I am a bit on your sit here. When I see the Mac commericals, I do tend to cheer for Hodgman's character. The underdog, he's funnier and he gets more lines. This ad campaign is starting to backfire. Although, I thought Kevin Smith ruined Die Hard 4 more than Justin Long. Oh, and maybe the writing had a part in it too.
