  In my adventures in federal librarianship we keep running into HORRIBLE job postings. A contractor supplies library services at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. There are postings in Iraq which we labeled the Baghdad Bookmobile. There's a listing for a CIA library job that asks for work, housing, and personal references back a good 14 years and states that you cannot tell anyone you are actually applying for the job, or if you were accepted or rejected. It paid bank, though.

  don't you steal this dream job from me! i may lack your qualifications but i'd like to think i'll make up for it with enthusiasm. I love communism and places that are culturally frozen in the 1950s and all things Hemingway, plus i tear up and desecrate a mean qur'an. Now i know those are part of the job per se, but they can't deny my versatility.

  Do not spend the $7,500 until the bank has a chance to check their bookkeeping. I recently got a note from my credit card bank saying they had credited my account twice with the same payment and they were charging me the extra. It ended square. Do not assume that banks do not make mistakes and do not assume they will not find them. I will be time shifting for the details.
