On today's show, scientist find so much water on the moon 'they can practically taste it', Luke tries to learn how to tie a real bowtie live on the air and JD and Thunder from the Stack of Dimes podcast join us for 'What's The Worst Movie You Can Rent This Weekend?'.... this week? Gymakata!
Wanted to share a great TBTL review by one of the teen volunteers at Seattle Public Library! http://blog.spl.org/yablog/2009/11/12/too-beautiful-to-not-listen-to/
It's available through Netflix. Please ask JD and Thunder to talk about the incredibly ridiculous -- and awesome -- pommel horse fight scene. Had I been told skill on a pommel horse would help fend off toothless Cossacks in an unnamed Soviet colony, I very well may have taken the gymnastics part of PE a bit more seriously. (i.e. Was the Presidential Physical Fitness Test just an excuse to train the youth of America to be ninjas?!!)
Haters go home. What a spot on commentary on a the East/West divide than a village of the damned with a pommel horse in the middle of the town square!
For shame Eastern Bloc countries, for shame.....
Once again, you've managed to push the envelope of imaginary radio. I don't get to tune in live very often, but wow, am I glad I did today. I can't imagine the experience of you tying a bow tie without the benefit of video.
I'm not hatin'...just sayin'
:)
I have a bow tie myself, and I have to admit it is a pain to get right. Next time you decide to bust it out at a wedding or something, make sure to give yourself lots of extra time to get it right.
I Was Time-Banditing this Episode In Safeway Tonight
on my I-Pod, and everyone was giving me plenty of room in the aisles because I was laughing manically at the "Gymkata" discussion. TBTL is grocery-shopping helpers!
Best fight scene ever?

For you Monty Python fans the "Warriors" in this movie must have been trained by the "Sargeant Major" of the Pice of Fruit school because no one seems to know how to sue their "Pointy sticks!". Absolutly hilarious!
