Fake cops rob fast food restaurants
Police in Pierce County are searching for two men suspected of posing as police officers and robbing restaurants.
In several different incidents, the men disguised themselves, pulled over fast food managers, and forced them back to the restaurants, where the men took cash.
"The car had blue and red type lights on the dashboard as if they were law enforcement," said Mark Fulghum, spokesperson with the Tacoma Police Department.
Incident locations:
- Sunday October 25, 2:30 a.m., at the Burger King on Mountain Highway in Graham
- Friday October 23, 3:15 a.m., Wendy's on Hosmer St. in Tacoma
- Monday October 5, 12:40 a.m., McDonalds on Steilacoom Blvd. in Lakewood
Both men are described as white, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with thin builds.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest. Anyone with information about the cases is asked to call 253-591-5959.
