Parents buy ticket home for Amanda Knox

Comments   |   Print this   |   E-mail this   |
The parents of Amanda Knox are so hopeful she'll be freed after her murder trial in Italy they have bought an airplane ticket home to Seattle for their daughter.

Curt Knox and Edda Mellas told Seattle TV stations they're flying to Italy on Thanksgiving Day to be in court when the defense presents its closing arguments.

Mellas says there's no credible evidence or motive to convict her daughter. Mellas says the former University of Washington student wants to finish school.

Curt Knox says he's worried that what he calls character assassination and misreporting outside of court will influence the jury.

He says they're all just waiting for the words of innocence to come up in court.

    Amanda Knox Airplane Ticket
I would think that this action would just fuel the fires of the courts in Italy - and really tick them off..... It's really an arrogant act on the part of her parents - and is somewhat thumbing their noses at the Italian legal system.....I don't think it bodes good..... Yes, it may be hopeful on the parents part - but still arrogant....

What a crushing feeling of loss the parents will have when she is given a life sentence.

Not a shocking loss for the Parents. They knew she was trash and would come to a no good end.

Wow, that's a great point. I didn't even think of it that way. And Jerry47, she is far from a "kid". A college student in her early 20's can hardly be considered a kid in my opinion. However, I do agree with you on sending prayers to her family...they are being greatly punished for doing nothing wrong.

That was my thought too when I read this article. Why on earth would you buy the airplane ticket now! It does seem arrogant. It seems like it just might jinx the whole outcome. Heaven help Amanda & her family!

Just make sure that the ticket is valid until 2045 AD when she will be up for parole
