If you're behind the wheel in the Puget Sound area, keep an eye on the drivers around you; a new report says they're pretty dangerous.

Based on claims data collected by the insurance company Allstate over the past 6 years, drivers in Seattle, Bellevue, and Tacoma are 16 to 17 percent more likely to get into an accident than the national average.

"I wouldn't say they're bad drivers," said local Allstate agent Mike McGinness. "It's just something we need to look at. Can we drive safer?"

Seattle is 128th on the list of cities with the safest drivers. The most unsafe city is Washington, D.C., where drivers are a whopping 95 percent more likely to crash. The safest is Fort Collins, Colorado.

Eastern Washington fares much better than the Puget Sound region; Spokane is 29th, with drivers 8 percent less likely to be involved in an accident.

According to McGinness, Allstate insures about 11 percent of all drivers in America.
