A website is out with its annual list of America's worst bosses, and a local politician cracked the top ten.

Lynnwood Mayor Don Gough is the 8th worst person to work for in the country, according to the site ebosswatch.com.

"There are several women who have literally left his office in tears," said Dr. Linnda Durre, a Florida psychotherapist and a member of a panel of workplace experts who compiled the list. "One of his assistants quit, she was so upset," Durre said.

In August, the Lynnwood City Council censured Gough and called on him to resign as a result of accusations by several female employees. He did not step down.

In May, Gough's former assistant, Stephanie Simpson, settled with the city for $49,500.

The bosses are ranked based on several factors. "How hostile the work environment is, whether there's sex discrimination or sexual harassment," Durre said.

Other Washington bosses who made the list include Snohomish County Planning Director Craig Ladiser (43) and Snohomish County Planning Deputy Greg Morgan (56).

Auburn state Senator Pam Roach also made the list, checking in at 86th worst. Earlier this year, Roach was banned from the Senate Republican Caucus for "repeatedly abusing staff," and colleagues requested she receive anger management counseling.
