The Clearly Lasik employee who worked with the FBI to uncover a murder plot involving his bosses testified he didn't do it for money.

Computer specialist Daniel Kultin wore a wire in 2009 to get evidence of a murder plot against company co-founder Michael Mockovak. The FBI initially paid Kultin $1500.

"I thought it was a fair amount, I guess, for the hours I spent and the energy I spent on this investigation," testified Kultin.

The prosecutor asked Kultin: "Were you doing it for money?" His answer: "absolutely not."

When asked why he did it, Kultin responded: "Because I was raised that killing is not the right thing to do."

Earlier, an FBI agent testified he paid Kultin a total of $5,000, $1,000 for each time Kultin wore a wire.

Mockovak is on trial for Solicitation to Commit Murder.

Working for the FBI, Kultin secretly recorded hours of conversations with Mockovak in which a murder-for-hire plot emerged targeting Clearly Lasik co-founder Dr. Joseph King. The prosecutor has asked to play just key segments of the recordings for the jury, but the defense has argued that the jury should hear the recordings in their entirety, claiming they demonstrate entrapment and show Kultin was the driving force behind the murder plot.
