Lineup plus Target Field, a new classic?

Greetings from Target Field. Don't worry about the clouds in the background there. They can always close the roof.
Always fun to see new the ballparks. My initial impression is this field looks a lot like Progressive Field in Cleveland and Petco in San Diego. Similar building materials and color scheme as both, layout and decks as Cleveland. Definitely more modern than classic, not what I was expecting.
In talking to some of the guys they seem to like it. "Slushie machines in the clubhouse are always a good thing," said Shawn Kelley.
"Big park, nice," remarked Jack Wilson.
"Ball is going to have a problem getting out to right," said Lee Tinsley, "but it is a nice field. Coaches room is nice too, plenty of space, internet access. It's good."
To me it looks a little generic but as Olson pointed out to me this is what this era's ballparks now look like. They are not built to look like Wrigley Field or Fenway Park which to me leads to the question of what will be the Wrigley's and Fenway's 80 years from now? Has a new classic park been built? I suppose history and what happens in that park contribute to this but could Safeco be the park? Say they win a couple of World Series here in the next 20 years. Will people look back and say that is the field where Hall of Famer Ichiro, the first Japanese position player played? Where the great Ken Griffey Jr, the man who hit 633 homeruns clean in the Steroid Era finished his career? Where the 2001 team won a Major League record tying 116 games? Will it be "Venerable Old Safeco Field" years from now? Just something I have thought about recently.
As for today...
