Analyst says Mariners will take a bat in Monday's draft

Originally aired: Sunday, June 3, 2012

Jason Churchill of Prospect Insider joins the postgame show to discuss the Mariners' possibilities in Monday's amateur draft. Churchill says the Mariners will draft either Florida catcher Mike Zunino or shortstop Carlos Correa out of Puerto Rico with the third overall pick. While Zunino projects as the best college hitter and likely the most major-league ready prospect, Churchill says Correa might be the best overall player in the draft. Though it is uncertain who the M's will take, Churchill says one thing is sure: they will draft a bat.
