Date: Wed March 13, 2013 Show: Colin and Tom Wow, the Seahawks are just doing whatever they can to grab the headlines as one day after making a big trade for Percy Harvin, they sign pass rushing DE Cliff Avril. It was assumed he would be too expensive, but signs a short-term deal with Seattle. Callers weigh in and all are very excited for the season (and we haven’t even had the draft yet). Colin believes this deal means the Seahawks believe Red Bryant will return to more of his run stopping ability because Avril is more of a pass rusher. He thinks this means Avril, Chris Clemons (when healthy) and Bruce Irvin will handle the pass rush. Both Colin and Matt believe bringing Cliff Avril into the fold will push Bruce Irvin to better himself over the next 2 years. The one who is better is the one who will get the big contract.
