The Nightwatch with Colin and Tom

Seattle Sports at Night Hour 2

Originally aired: Wednesday, June 26, 2013

Dave Cameron of USSMariner.com and Fangraphs comes on to talk about the state of the Mariners and what can possibly be done to improve the team. Cameron says the only real move the Mariners can make is trying to trade Oliver Perez to Detroit for OF Nick Castellanos. The Mariners are on pace to end up with the same record as last year. Is this team really one player away from making the jump to competing in the division? Or are there major overhauls that need to be made? It seems like when the pitching does well, the hitting falters and vice versa. Also, A-Rod's on Twitter now and tweeted out his rehabilitation status saying his doctor is clearing him to play, without the Yankee team doctors saying anything about it first. Yankees GM Brian Cashman told him to "shut the (expletive) up!" Cashman later apologized for his remarks. Time to talk Seahawks! The Seahawks/49ers rivalry is getting more national attention now than it has in previous years. Tom wonders if the rivalry is more one-sided, saying Seattle says it's a rivalry, more so than San Francisco does.
