The sanctions against the University of Oregon have come down and not much has really happened. They are losing a grand total of one scholarship over the next two years and Chip Kelly who is now an NFL head coach, can't be hired to coach NCAA football for 18 months. Tom argues the violations aren't really that serious so isn't "outraged" by this lack of punishment as others might be. Colin believes the goes on at all schools. Also, who would you trade Pete Carroll for when it comes to other head coaches? Colin says with this team, he'd only take Bill Bellichick over Carroll.
It's time to address it, Aaron Hernandez's arrest for first degree murder. This has absolutely nothing to do with football. This happened because Hernandez has a problem and would've happened regardless of what his career happened to be. This isn't a sign of the state of the NFL.
More Aaron Hernandez talk as Colin and Tom respond to a text saying we put athletes on pedestals and the media is culpable in athletes making poor choices and being above the law. Colin says that takes away the responsibility of the individual being responsible for their own actions.
