The Mariners blew it in the 9th (Danny Farquhar blew it) and tonight it bothered Tom more than blowing a 5 run lead against Boston a couple weeks ago. They had a lead against a very tough pitcher in David Price and let it slip away. The guys argue over who was really at fault in the 9th. Plus would you trade Hisashi Iwakuma for a player like Wil Myers? Tom Brady may be missing some time with a knee injury and people are starting to wonder if Tim Tebow will start to see some playing time if Ryan Mallet isn't effective. The guys go over the fans demanding to see 3rd string QBs when the backups aren't effective. Remember Mike Teel anyone? The guys were thinking of moving on, but Tom can't get enough Tebow talk. He thinks that if he were to start a game, it would be the highest rated game on TV. Colin thinks that would only happen were Tebow to lead one of his "miraculous" comebacks, people would watch. But he isn't good enough to sit through a whole game of his poor QB play. Matt says Tebow is the McDonalds of sports.
