After suffering a mild stroke 30 days ago, Eric Wedge is now coming back to manage the Mariners. Brock and Danny had him on earlier today and he talks about getting himself healthy again and what happened to him that day before the game and what the doctors explained to him. Colin was nearby when the stroke happened and when he looked at Eric's eyes he could tell something was wrong.
Tom is overly worrying about the defense so you don't have to. By the way he was talking, that Denver game was a close call, not a 40-10 blowout. Tom contends that relying on a huge defensive play while giving up big chunks of yards to your opponent is going to fail more often than succeed.
The guys are a little concerned because the second string guys appear to be the ones lighting up the scoreboards the last couple games. Plus a few unexpected points from a defensive touchdown and a kick return TD. Is this something to be concerned about in the regular season?
