After visiting the Jordan-Syria border, Washington state Rep. Adam Smith says the world must respond. // The Highway 99 tunnel machine -- Bertha -- is tunneling away beneath Seattle as we speak. But it's not going very fast. It's traveled only 24 feet since the drilling began a month ago. (That's about two weeks behind schedule.) Only 9,249 feet to go! // It was 50 years ago today that Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. made his iconic "I Have a Dream" speech. A former WSU basketball coach walked away with an original copy of the speech. Although it's been valued in the millions of dollars, he says he'd never give it up. // Washington State football coach Mike Leach said in a radio interview that he will be interested to see how rookie Jeff Tuel performs as a pro quarterback for the Buffalo Bills - but he continued, "he's never really won any games." The Rangers beat the Mariners last night ... on a balk. It was the M's fifth straight loss.
