Need to know: We're five days away from the deadline and Mark Rogers needs to either beat NFL tradition or take the loss and get Russell to sign the Seahawks' deal. The Mariners are playing like they want to compete. But, they're still 9 games under and Fernando Rodney still sucks in the worst way. Also, Randy Johnson's in the Hall of Fame. Nice. John Clayton explains why Russell will have $40 million in his pocket between now and February. Professor says deal gets done? Who's to say now that the deal won't get done? Salk? Anyone?

Don O'Neill of Kiro 97.3 FM joins Brock and Salk this hour to beg the question: "Does Russell Wilson want out of Seattle?" The idea isn't too far fetched. Russell IS a celebrity QB and rubs shoulders with Hollywood types and big-name notables on a daily basis. O'Neill's got some pretty strong argument to back his hefty opinions. Are the guys buying or selling on the theory? Is Salk (gasp) not taking sides on this one? Later, Answer the Question, Jerk!

Need to know: The Mariners pull out a win in extra innings yesterday thanks to a 12th inning double from Mike Zunino. Salk says the Mariners should win or lose but don't do both. It's getting tiresome. Earl Thomas is questionable for the start of the season. What's the depth looking like at safety? And, the trade deadline season has begun for Major League Baseball.
