Saturday cuts coming down
By Liz Mathews
1. WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh has now been released by the Seahawks as first tweeted by ESPN's Chris Mortensen earlier this morning.
2. DE Nick Reed and the Seahawks have reached an injury settlement. Reed will be compensated for his estimated time to be missed due to his injury and remains eligible to re-sign with the team at a future date.
3. QB J.P. Losman has been released. This potentially opens the door for the Seahawks to sign fellow Tulane alum Patrick Ramsey or take a closer look at Matt Leinart.
4. S Jamar Adams has been released as reported by Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times.
In other news around the NFC West, QB Matt Leinart has been cut by the Cardinals and Sam Bradford has been named the Rams' starting quarterback.
As of now, the Seahawks do not plan to announce the names on the 53 man roster until after the 3pm deadline today.
This blog will be updated frequently throughout the morning so be sure to check back for the latest transactions.
