Report: Carl Smith hired as QB coach
By Liz Mathews
Numerous reports are now indicating that the Seahawks have hired Carl Smith as their new quarterbacks coach.
Per John Boyle of The Everett Herald: "The Seattle Seahawks have hired Carl Smith to be the team’s quarterback coach, a team spokesman confirmed Thursday night, reuniting Smith and Pete Carroll on a coaching staff for the fifth time."
Smith spent the last two seasons coaching the quarterbacks in Cleveland, a position he also held from 2001-2003. Smith has extensive coaching experience at both the collegiate and professional levels.
Smith will replace Seahawks' former QB coach, Jedd Fisch , who spent one season with the team before accepting the offensive coordinator position with the University of Miami.
