The Nightwatch

  • December 17, 2014 - Hour: 2
Andy tries and fails miserably to describe the Wil Myers trade. Then the guys break down what the Seahawks have to do to avoid the seven sacks on Russell Wilson that happened in the first meeting with the Cardinals. Jim Harbaugh might be headed to Michigan as they are offering him more money than Nick Saban makes. Is he better suited as a college coach? Plus Andy totally redeems himself... sorta as he correctly breaks down the Wil Myers trade.
  • December 17, 2014 - Hour: 1
Andy Bunker and Justin Myers in. The Mariners make a trade for OF Justin Ruggiano. Now while he may not be the name fans were hoping for, if he is used in a platoon role with someone who hits RHP well, this could be a solid move. Fans were fired up about Michael Saunders getting traded, but was it the wrong move? He had been constantly hurt, so maybe the Mariners should be given some slack. Also, the guys go over scenarios where the Seahawks can get the #1 seed in the playoffs.

  • December 16, 2014 - Hour: 2
Cleveland Browns player Andrew Hawkins wears a T-shirt speaking out on the recent police shootings. Cleveland police weren't impressed, but Hawkins stated clearly why this was important. Also the guys go over NFL playoff expansion and when that could happen. Tom argues this is a weak class for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and thinks more pop acts will end up getting in. Plus ESPNs Jerry Crasnick may be trying to get Mariners fans excited saying they are close to making a trade for a hitter.
  • December 16, 2014 - Hour: 1
Tom Wassell and Andy Bunker in. We go over the Seahawks 2014 defense yet again and determine where they rank among the greats. Callers weigh in on this as well. The O-Line really needs to step up to give Russell a chance to throw (he was sacked 7 times the last time they played Arizona). The 2022 World Cup is set to be held in Qatar, but there are a lot of human rights violations going on there. Should it be boycotted?

Monday, December 15, 2014

  • December 15, 2014 - Hour: 2
Could Super Bowl XLIX be canceled because the US won't back terrorism insurance? Also, the guys talk about the call for roughing the passer that went in the Seahawks favor and why it was bad, but not game-changing. Tom actually feels sorry for Johnny Manziel, who the rest of the country seems to hate, taking glee in his awful NFL starting debut. The guys end it giving us possible playoff scenarios.
  • December 15, 2014 - Hour: 1
Tom Wassell and Justin Myers in. Is this year's Seahawks defense among the best of all-time? Callers weigh in about where this team stacks up with the 1985 Bears, among others. Is it bad to like offensive football? Tom thinks a defensive game is more fun to watch, while Justin prefers a 41-35 type of game. Tom tries to compare offensive football to fast food and pop music, things Justin is a fan of.

  • December 11, 2014 - Hour: 1
December 11, 2014 - Hour: 4 It's the 'Hybrid Show' with Jim Moore, Andy Bunker and Justin Myers. The guys go over the Seahawks rivalry with the 49ers and some fun moments over the years. Justin is disappointed that the rivalry may fizzle out after he moved here to experience it. What's up with Colin Kaepernick? Callers weigh in on fun rivalry memories.

Will Carroll of Bleacher Report is at the winter meetings and talks about the move the Mariners have made and where they stand at this point.
  • December 9, 2014 - Hour: 2
Will Carroll of Bleacher Report is at the winter meetings and talks about the move the Mariners have made and where they stand at this point, 87-88 wins he thinks. Which baseball team has had a better off-season than the Seattle Mariners? Maybe Boston, but callers are encouraged by the Mariners willingness to spend. After a line of questions about Colin Kaepernick, Jim Harbaugh doesn't ask the questions. After listening to the interview should we actually be on his side on this one?
  • December 9, 2014 - Hour: 1
Tom Wassell and Andy Bunker in. The Mariners are adding pieces and are looking to add an outfielder at the winter meetings. Will they continue to pursue Melky Cabrera or make a trade to fill the void? How much better will they be in 2015? It's just about time to give Russell Wilson his payday. Do the Seahawks need to beef up the O-Line and sacrifice a little defensively to protect him? Tom talks media ethics when it comes to the Cam Newton car accident today.

Monday, December 8, 2014

  • December 8, 2014 - Hour: 2
Justin thinks Russell can't throw the deep ball anymore, but he's very effective in what he does for the Seahawks. Some callers try to change his opinion on that. Colin Kaepernick is just a bad quarterback right now. What is going on? Does he just have 'the yips' or did something shake his confidence? Tom may be late to the game and decided to start "Breaking Bad", but he thinks it may be hard to commit to 5 seasons worth of 45 minute episodes.
  • December 8, 2014 - Hour: 1
Tom Wassell and Justin Myers in. The Seahawks played a great game yesterday, but with any team there are areas they could improve. The guys ask the listeners, what are the areas the team could improve?

Thursday, December 4, 2014

  • December 4, 2014 - Hour: 1
Disguised as the 6pm hour of "Danny, Dave and Moore" Andy Bunker and Justin Myers host. They toss out the question, is it more important for the defense to step up or the offense in Philly against the Eagles? Callers give their take. Plus Andy apologizes to his dad about Thanksgiving beef Wellington as well as 2 truths and a lie about the Michael Saunders trade.

Tuesday, December 2, 2014

  • December 2, 2014 - Hour: 2
The guys talk baseball this hour and listen to what ESPN's Keith Law has to say about the Mariners as currently constructed and how close they are to winning the division. Where is the confidence level from the 12th man in their Seahawks? Andy who identifies as a 'Twelve' says he's back to the high of the pre-season confidence level. Since this is the last full Nightwatch of the week, the guys preview Seahawks/Eagles.
  • December 2, 2014 - Hour: 1
Tom Wassell and Andy Bunker in. Tom goes back to his Hall of Fame talk and ponders whether Richard Sherman is on his way to that type of career. Does the league 'have it in' for the Seahawks with the penalty disparity that even Pete Carroll can't ignore? ESPN's Jason Whitlock has an interesting take on the Ray and Janae Rice situation.
