Western Washington recovers from snowstorms as melt-out continues
William Cooke writes: "I remember a March 1st growing up. Harry Wappler called for the possibility of snow, likely only to the north of Seattle, and about an inch, starting at around 5 pm. It started snowing in the Tacoma area around noon, and by the next morning we had 31 inches at my house. I decided to go for a drive, and promptly yanked out a Milton cop on his way to get chains. Can't recall any "state of emergency" though..."
