Ad Proximum...and all that

We are pulling out of Palm Springs early Monday morning and I'm very sad to leave. The weather was perfect, the people were friendly and we had a great dining experience at John-Henry's thanks to a recommendation from Frank (a Palm Springs 10).

Next up is Tucson, AZ then Las Cruces, NM and then into Texas.

Here's a cute shot of Mr. Knightly this morning in Joshua Tree National Park:

Teenage Library Enthusiasts Agree: TBTL Is Pretty Much Rawr.

ppf

Listener Mahina works with teens @ the Rainier Beach Public Library, on, among other things, a really cool blog called Push To Talk. It's written by actual teems,(actual teens with amazing taste in Imaginary Radio). To wit: check out this recent post from Patrick about TBTL.

Nice work you guys! I agree, we are awesome.

TBTL Episode #440, Open Thread: Awesome Job Alert!

luke

On today's show, Jen found 7,500 dollars in her bank account that shouldn't be there, bad news if you were going to get that luxury SUV outfitted with Whale Penis Leather Seats (thanks Pam Anderson!) and we've got a hot job tip for you... if you like to travel, want half of your rent paid and have restaurant experience, the Guantanamo Bay McDonalds is hiring!

Postcard from Palm Springs

0271

The Veteran's Day Parade this afternoon was awesome. Jets streaked by overhead while local marching bands entertained on the ground. I cried a little when the Pearl Harbor survivors went by

0250

and I pondered the message of "Veterans for Peace" as they walked by. The crowd was excited and respectful to all.

Thanks to all who serve, thanks to all who hope for peace and thanks to all the people who line the streets to stand up and clap for veterans.
