NFC West title is still within reach for the Seahawks
Considering how difficult the 49ers' remaining schedule looks on paper, there's no reason to think the Seahawks can't make up a one-game deficit in the NFC West standings.

    Totally Agree, Jim
Not sure why all the pundits were calling the division race over at the halfway point--it was stupid. All the 'Hawks need to do is beat the Niners at home and then pick up ONE additional game. I would realistically give Seattle at least a 35% chance or so.

    its the "or so"
that doesnt get us there. I want to believe it could shake out this way, I guess time will tell Jim Moore, time will tell. Would be nice to see a couple more touchdowns (rushing would be great..) while in the red zone to support your assessment.

    Math error?
SF at 6-2-1 loses 4 out of 5 on Jim's list and also beats Arizona and Miami. Hmmmm...6 plus 3 equals 9 & 2 plus 4 equals 6....so that comes to SF finishing at 9-6-1. Seattle would then only need to finish 4-2 to end up at 10-6 and be the division champ...not go 5-1 and 11-5.

    Too bad
Instead of supporting the Hawks, you had to show your bigoted side. Instead of showing that you're a fan of the Seahawks, you decided to show a dark side of your nature, a side that would make the world better if you kept it to yourself. Darn, it's too bad you decided to focus on a small, negative point, rather than a major point of the Seahawks succeeding. I gues it's understandable; most bigots are small-minded.

Theoretically 12 wins are still possible. Mike Williams intimated as much in his parting statement.
At this point I would say that 10 wins are definite, 11 wins are probable.

If I had to choose one win from the upcoming 2 roads games, I would take a win in Chicago. It's crucial for tie breakers and would establish a certain validity to the team's swagger.

    Go! Seahawks!

    Tiebreakers
They have a good chance of taking 2 out of their final 3 road games but they have to play better in those games or else it's probably not gonna happen. If they do that they have a good chance of going 11-5 by holding serve at home. Tiebreakers make it a little more of a long shot since they're 0-3 in the division and 3-3 is the best they can do. Not having the tiebreaker that would probably decide it in a best case scenario is pretty much the same as being another whole game behind in the standings. But if they kick the Niners game then the division race is over and none of the rest is gonna matter anyway.

    Tiebreakers:
I was kind of driving at tiebreakers for a wildcard spot, apologies. Defeating Chicago, Green Bay and Minnesota gives us tiebreakers against them if we are competing for a wildcard spot, right? That would be HUGE!

I was actually referring to any tiebreakers involving the division race with the Niners but momentarily forgot that a tie in W-L with the Niners isn't possible anymore. Didn't know what I was thinking. As far as the wildcard goes, ya the Hawks are looking pretty good except for the Lions I guess. But if they just keep winning, they won't even have to look over their shoulder to see who's behind them. Funny how things tend to work out when they just win games huh? Wanna beat the Niners? Just win games and the rest will take care of itself. Go Hawks!!!

Very hard for me to understand Seattle Fans
I understand that you are fans of your team, and I would not expect you to admit that your team is ever out of the race for the division or a playoff spot but at some point you guys have to THINK before you speak. At some point you guys have to understand that you have ZERO wins in the division. How can you just ASSUME wins vs teams that have ALREADY BEAT YOU ? You have ONE road win this year and suddenly you just assume victories over buffalo and miami ??? Chicago is going to play with out Cutler and somehow you guys want to disrespect San Francisco and say thats a game thats a possible loss, but with ONE road win on YOUR resume you can going to chalk that win up for yourself ? You have to know how clownish you sound. You guys better understand that one more loss vs a NFC team puts you in a bad position two loses vs. a a NFC team puts you out of the playoffs period.

    Try thinking before typing
Let's see, maybe they can assume victories because those three division losses were on the road as opposed to the at home where the Seahawks are 5-0? Miami just lost at home to the Titans and then to Buffalo. The Buffalo game is in Toronto so there isn't much home field advantage for the Bills. And if they were to lose two games to NFC teams and yet finish 10-6 you say there is no chance for the playoffs? Better math please.

Westcoast: Yes, we are fans of our team. Do YOU understand that both Seattle and S.F. possess 6 wins?
Seattle's upcoming schedule is more favorable than S.F's upcoming schedule.

The Seahawks should have more wins when the regular season ends. Hence: Seahawks; Division Champions.

    Another possibility
While the Hawks have played well it is still possible for the Hawks to have a 7-9 Season or a 6-10. Unlikely maybe but every game listed as a "win" up there two teams are against teams previously lost to and division games at that which are usually close games. And the third is on the road where Hawks have not been great this year.

    Understanding it all
I don't think Westcoast does understand. You are spot on about the difference in the 2nd half schedule for both teams. And we have a great at home record, so we really have a strong chance of doing this. Besidesm Jimmie Johnson said today on the FOX NFL show that the Hawks were going to take the division this year. I have to believe him over someone like Westcoast. :)
