Can Adderall cause a lack of focus?
Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman may be slightly distracted by their potential suspensions, you can expect that the rest of the team is preparing for the Bears with a distraction level of zero.

    Agree but:
"An all-pro defensive back can't cover receivers without an effective pass rush. And so on. For that reason, no one player (or two) ever becomes that important in football." Offenses are built to find the weak point in any defense. Currently for the Hawks, thats the slot, and the run game. We are having hard enough time as it is with these things and have had the luxury of not worrying about the corners. If we now end up losing our two lock down, man to man corners... Then where do we focus our attention on trying to shut down opposing defenses. I like the look of some of our younger guys, and still think we can make the playoffs, but this makes it that much tougher.

    Chuck Knox.........
...isn't quoted enough. I had hoped, to a minimum, Carroll and company might listen to a former FB wiseguy. We'll see how the "hand" shakes out after Chicago, since the two Jacks are playing anyway. After that, say what?! BTW, need to do a column on Knox's quotations alone!

I think the fans and players should be on this stuff.
Adderall sounds like its really good. Where can I buy it?. Should hand it out like candy at home games to everyone. Some say why, I say why not.

    Great Insight
Thank you Dave for your experienced insight. It's so much more informative and puts things in context unlike the beat writers and talking heads that probably never put on the pads...

    Well Done Dave
Once again Dave Wyman writes another great article on the Hawks and the NFL. The quality of Sports coverage on here is top notch, hats off to kiro710 and the people that work here. Meanwhile, watching the NFL Network and SC is like pulling teeth, its absolutely painful and insulting. Dave Wyman, the National Networks would be lucky to have you, but I'm glad they dont and you belong in the PNW! Go Hawks!

Fears and knee-jerk reactions are almost always wrong...
I don't think this is as big of a blow as people think... Sure we'll have less depth but we have a stud in Walter Thurmond and he's coming back this week and Kam Chancellor is still out there... Sure Trufant isn't a lock down guy but he's a serviceable veteran and he has come up a couple times... This defense hasn't been good because of immense talent.. though we do have some uniquely physical guys... it also has been very well coached... and the back ups will be very well coached too and they will run a very smart defensive game plan... so yeh even though we might take a hit losing those 2 guys... it probably won't be as bad as everyone thinks...
